us slammed into a well known ethiopian restaurant in adams morgan. fire officials say two female pedestrians were struck and transported with serious injuries. both are in their 20's. one of them is in very critical condition. the female driver at the scene was irate, detained with handcuffs, put in the police car. she was arrested and refused treatment at the scene. the car drove right through the front of the business, shattering the store front bay window. the police are trying to figure out exactly what went wrong here. >> i cannot figure out how she did it. taking out the entire restaurant and two people. this is a busy intersection, but coming down where she was, there is no sense to it. >> still a big police scene, trying to figure out what happened, interviewing witnesses, trying to figure out if the woman was speeding or not. this entire area between 18th and florida is completely closed to vehicular traffic. >>> we are also following breaking news from springfield. nine people have been transported to hospital after a multicar crash that happened at the intersection of
